Foster Parent Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision in a safe structured home environment
- Implement treatment strategies
- Participate in client treatment team meetings
- Use positive reinforcements
- Attend a 40 hour MAPP training to prepare you for foster parenting
- Provide transportation for the child to appointment and family visits
- Maintain positive working relationships with the client’s natural family and staff
- Work with schools, social workers, medical personnel and other childcare professionals
- Guide a child’s development in all areas
